Rahim Azouni

Born on March 25, 1979 (French-Algerian), father of 2, Rahim Azouni is Senior Vice President (SVP) Crude, Fuel and Derivatives Trading at TotalEnergies since March 2022.



Rahim started his career in 2001 as Oil Market Analyst for Total Trading Shipping division in Paris. 

• In 2004, he moved to Singapore as a Crude trader.
• In 2008, he was appointed Med and Iraqi Crude trader in Geneva.
• In 2012, he became deputy General Manager for the Sour Crude trading desk.
• In 2016, he took over the position of General Manager for the North Sea and West Africa desk,
• In May 2020, he was appointed SVP Crude oil Supply and Trading at TotalEnergies before adding to his portfolio the Fuel trading activities in March 2022 and Derivatives activities in January 2024. He seats at the management committee of TOTSA - TotalEnergies Trading SA.

Rahim holds two Masters of Science degrees in Econometrics and in International Finance of the French Sorbonne University and Ecole normale supérieure Ulm and also graduated from the French Institute of Petroleum (IFP) with a Master of Science in Energy Economics.
