Fredrik Fosse
Chief Executive
Fredrik Fosse is Chief Executive of Energy Aspects. Fredrik is a corporate strategy professional and was previously with Deloitte and Delta Partners, advising corporate and investment clients in Europe, Central and East Asia, and Middle East and Africa.
Educated in Norway, Singapore and the United Kingdom, Fredrik holds a BSc Economics with Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick.
Richard Bronze
Executive Director
Richard is Executive Director and co-founder of Energy Aspects. He is a specialist on the Middle East and North Africa region, where he follows developments in oil and natural gas markets. Richard is frequently featured in leading media outlets, including the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, BBC News, Reuters, Bloomberg, CNBC, and more. He is also a research associate at the Oxford Institute of Energy Studies where he regularly publishes papers. Prior to joining Energy Aspects, he spent more than six years working in central government functions in both the UK and Australia.
Derek Elliott
Non-executive Director
Derek is a Non-executive Director of Energy Aspects. He has over 25 years of experience in private equity, having been Co-Head of Technology at Inflexion, Managing Partner of Darwin Private Equity and a Principal in the technology team at Permira. Derek is also a Non-Executive Director of Times Higher Education and EO Group and a Senior Adviser to Yoti and Quantanite. Derek’s board and investment experience include All3Media, ASK4, Attenda, The Automobile Association, Commify, Datum Datacentres, Inmarsat, Intelsat and Travelodge. Derek is a qualified Chartered Accountant, having previously worked for Arthur Andersen in Corporate Recovery and Corporate Finance.

Johannes is a Non-executive Director of Energy Aspects, representing Summit Partners. He joined Summit Partners in 2012 and is a Managing Director on the Growth Products & Services team in Europe. Johannes’ board and investment experience include Cinerius Financial Partners, GRESB, Normec (acquired by Astorg), OnRobot, Peak Well Systems (acquired by Schlumberger), ProGlove (acquired by Nordic Capital), RadioOnkologieNetzwerk (acquired by Medipass), Sézane (acquired by General Atlantic), Sipartech (acquired by Blackstone), Solactive and zahneins (acquired by PAI Partners). Prior to Summit, Johannes worked for Vitruvian Partners, TA Associates and Lazard.
Jeffrey Currie
Non-executive Director
Jeff Currie is the Chief Strategy Officer of Energy Pathways at Carlyle. He brings extensive experience in the commodities sector, having previously served as Global Head of Commodities Research at Goldman Sachs. During his nearly three-decade tenure at Goldman Sachs, he played a pivotal role in building their commodities business and emerged as a leading strategist on Wall Street. Jeff has provided invaluable insights through significant market events, including the commodity super cycle of the 2000s, the shale supply shock of the 2010s, and the recent disruptions caused by the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
